Do you remember that feeling you had when you got on a roller coaster for the very first time? The excitement, anticipation, absolute terror? lol. As you slowly began that long climb up that first hill you feel happy and maybe even a little proud that you allowed your friend to talk you into getting on. Once your at the middle of your climb nerves start getting the best of you and your heart starts racing (the heights aren’t something your comfortable with)… but wait the view from up here is actually quite breathtaking. Your appreciation of your surroundings get cut short as you reach the very top of the hill and the ride pauses. You’re no longer sure that you still want to remain friends with the twisted individual that forced you onto this crazy journey.. you want to turn back, your not ready, you can’t possibly have what it takes to make it to the end… And then the car releases. You’re moving forward at crazy speeds.. this is the greatest feeling ever.. you are so lucky to have such an amazing friend that believed you could master this. As the coaster returns to the new line up of eager riders, they are baring the exact same look that you had, and you just smile knowingly at them. You smile because you now know roller coasters aren’t for everyone however, If you can make it up that hill, if you can just keep your eyes open and look forward… you will be in for the ride of your life.
The only person that can hold you back from actually living life and following your dreams is you! If you can picture it you can make it happen!
The confidence and knowledge of myself that I have discovered in the short time that I have been a part of Durham Organo is beyond words. I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by all the wonderful supportive people involved. We are at the top of our hill… it’s time to take a deep breath and let the good times roll.
